Dark Knight Viral: Jim Gordon Launches Operation Slipknot
Movie News By Neil Miller on April 23, 2008 | (21) Comments
If you have been following the viral marketing campaign for the upcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight, then you probably received an email this morning from Lt. Jim Gordon. If you didn’t get one, no worries, as I am about to explain what the email was all about. The email contained a simple message: “OK friend, you’re up to bat now. You have yourself a new assignment: Operation Slipknot.”
The link to “Operation Slipknot” takes you to a page inside the website of the Gotham Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit. There, we see a list of 7 Gotham PD officers who have warrants out for their arrest.

If you click on the “Assignment” button at the top right of the screen, you will see that you need to call the Gotham Intercontinental Hotel Concierge (1-866-306-5589) and convince them to send you a care package that has been left there for each of the listed fugitives. Once you receive that package, it will show you all of the information you need to proceed.

So there you have it, your opportunity to help Lt. Jim Gordon and the Gotham City PD catch some major offenders. Has anyone called over to the Intercontinental Hotel yet? If so, feel free to leave us an update in the comment area below.
