Dark Knight Viral: Clowns Against Harvey Dent Videos

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on April 2, 2008

The viral marketing campaign for The Dark Knight is really heating up, almost to the point of being silly. Today, someone left links to these videos in the comments of one of our previous articles:

Now, I don’t know about you, but these are almost too rough for me to believe that they are part of the actual marketing campaign. I have a feeling that these could be fan made, but then again, either way it is still getting the word out. These clowns are certainly crazy — and come July 18th, we are going to find out if their eccentricities will translate into box office receipts.

Also, as a side note, did you notice that there is a date of 7-2-08 in two of the videos? I wonder what that means… Debate amongst yourselves below.

  • Cody
hmm, they look like the clowns at the dentmobile stop.
  • The production quality is mediocre, probably done by either film students or someone with a pretty good working knowledge of film.

I do predict though that on 7-2-08 the hosts of Strong Words Inc podcast will insult Fat Guys at the movies host kevin carr, and then rejoice.
  • WOW, These are really kinda CREEPY! I think the quality is very good for "fan made" videos.
