I hope they stick with the idea of the “next gen” of Ghostbusters using some of the funny people of today with the older stars as supporting actors. But, seeing the old guard running around in those suits would be a laugh.

Do whatever but just continue the story where it left off (with a new cast and style if you have to) but PLEASE, no more re-boots…

I’ve had it up to here with all of those origin stories we’ve been getting lately! We know and love the characters, get on with the story!

Maybe something like the old guys training the new guys. I dont know but with Bill, Dan , Harold and ernie mixed in with Seth and judd. All I see is a wonderful movie and dollar signs.

I can definately see a story along the lines of all of the original cast kind of passing the torch down to a group of guys like seth rogen. But no reboot! Im sick of reboots! Continue on with the story. Bring the old cast back dammit. It would be successful because guys like me would go see it a billion times and then buy a million copies:)

Continue the story. I’m just not sure how well the idea of it would go over. I rewatched a Ghostbusters 1 & 2, as well as Blues Brothers, this summer, and I’m not really sure that style of serious/comedy can be done the same ‘now’, or at least how successful it would be at the box office. Know what I mean?

Watch, the “two sharp writers” will turn out to be those asshats who gave us “Disaster Movie”, and it’ll be nothing but 2 hours referencing parts of movies like “The Amityville Horror” and “The Changeling”.

Sorry, but while I enjoyed the first “Ghostbusters”, the cartoon, and think there’s always potential, I’m long past caring anymore. I’m burnt out from the “it’s a go! It’s not a go!” rumors. It’s like “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull” all over again. Wake me up when there’s a start date for this one. We’ll see if the excitement level gets off life support.
