I upgraded to Blu about a month ago and the black friday week sales on Amazon absolutely killed my wallet. The Cyber Monday prices are no different than they were all last week, it's an overblown, made up marketing tactic.

Here's my thing, i enjoy some blu-ray movies...but some movies weren't meant to be brighter and with more clarity. I am going to have to go with what John Landis (director of An American Werewolf in London) said...when the studio was making a blu-ray of his werewolf film, they kept wanting to make it brighter and clearer. Thank god he didn't let them, some films were meant to be dark and grainy...unfortunately most directors like him won't fight for their movie like this. So the point to my rant...is blu-ray really worth the money, when in fact the studio may be butchering the director/cinematographer's original vision?

Not that these deals aren't good but some of them pale in comparison to last week.

A good example are those House and Office DVDs which up until yesterday were at $13 a season for all of them. I am sure others were the same way. I only know those 2 because I bought all the seasons of each last Wednesday.
