I remember joking with my friends in grade school, saying that we’d see ‘Rocky 12′ and Sylvester Stallone would be using a walker in the ring. Well it seems that my friends and I might not be too far off.

We have already seen six Rocky films total. The last of which, Rocky Balboa, featured an obviously aged star in Stallone. Not to say that Stallone wasn’t unbelievably jacked for his age, its just that he looked like a roided up old man. On the other hand though, that roided up old man has recently resurrected two franchises back into blockbuster status. With strong performances in both Rocky Balboa and Rambo, who is to say that Sly couldn’t continue this successful momentum?

Indiewire.com
has reported from Cannes that MGM has been very optimistic with their future plans. It seems that their plans may include another Rocky film. MGM’s new chairperson Mary Parent brought the idea up to the crowd. “Parent asked for a show of hands from the audience who might be in to that. Though there were a few very enthusiastic responses, many kept quiet.” I think maybe that franchise needs to dissolve, due to the modest ending of the last film. Who cares what I think though…

Sound Off: What do you think of another Rocky film?
