The folks at Empire have published a series of character banners for Wes Anderson’s upcoming stop-motion animated children’s story Fantastic Mr. Fox, which features the vocal talents of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray, among others. The film has been met thus far with mixed responses, ranging from those who love the look and feel, and the idiosyncratic rhythm to the trailer that screams Wes Anderson, to those who aren’t feeling the celebrity voices. I will admit that they sound a bit off, but I am too into the look and feel to be bothered with that. In my mind, Anderson is working on something very cool that feels odd. But isn’t that the point.

Check out the gallery of banners below. Fantastic Mr. Fox hits theaters on November 25, 2009.

  • I'm assuming this was done intentionally, but WOW, if "The Scoundrel" doesn't look like a Nazi, then I'm a blind hermaphrodite. (Which is absurd. I can see perfectly well)
