Gans is a great choice. I recently watched Brotherhood for the 6,000th or so time and it never slows down and never gets dull. (Okay, maybe it was for the 6th time on DVD plus once in the theater?)

McTeigue is also an interesting choice. I really enjoyed V For Vendetta, much more than I expected to. The first two thirds of the film are interesting and intriging and spend just enough time getting to know the characters. (I think the last third of the film is much weaker and to me, has much more of a feel of the Wachowski Brothers trying to redo the Matrix.)

Hell, anyone is better than Brett Ratner. But I'd say McTeigue is the best of those four.

Out of the four, Mctigue is the only one that has the feel to even get close to a decent Conan script.
