Editor’s Update: Yes, it was not the T-1000 but the T-600. Thanks to Dave3 from Geeks of Doom for helping us clear that up.

While our very own Rob Hunter is currently down in Hall H keeping a close eye on what is happening with the panel presentation for Warner Bros’ film Terminator Salvation and we expect a write-up shortly, our photographer Cody just came bursting into the press room, memory card in hand, with a first look at the T-600 that has apparently made an appearance on stage during the presentation.

Without further ado, lets go to the images:

    Um...What?
Why does this T-1000 not resemble the original T-1000 and why isn't it liquid metal?
  • Terminator Salvation takes place before anyone uses the Time Machines to stop John Conner. The original T-1000 that was in T2 was an after affect of them trying to kill Sarah Conner.

Think of it like the movie Sound of Thunder.
  • I honestly think this is the Terminator movie everyone has been wanting to see since T1. Lets hope it doesnt suck too bad.
  • You
i understand that but then why is it called the T-1000?
  • You
    Screw what I just said.

I allways waited for this Movie... I want to see machines and no austrian Giant. Hopefully there will be much much much Terminators without skin!!!

In previous films, they changed the future... this is an alternate future, with alternate machines. T-1000 may never exist in this future. besides that, this is set between judgement day and 2029 (when prototype T-1000 was sent back in time for T2 movie), so these machines arent so advanced. This machine is called the T-600, an early attempt of the machines making human like bio-cybonetic organism. The 8 foot, rubber skined terminator that was the predacessor to the T-800 (Arnie).
But they did make a fauxpas In the film script where they called Arnies character T-800 in some films, but in others they called it the T-101 of cyberdyne systems. Maybe they were different machines, but why such a difference in generation. We would have thought a T-101 would look a lot less advanced than the T-800. But I turn a blind eye to that. I love the films, and cant wait to see this new T-600 hunting down Kyle to the classic suspend background music
