Comic-Con: Friday the 13th Poster and Teaser Trailer
Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on July 29, 2008

One of the late highlights of this year’s Comic-Con was the panel for the upcoming re envisioning of Friday the 13th, where a new poster and a new teaser trailer were unleashed. And while we did not have anyone covering the panel on Sunday as we were all very hung over, we do have some great one on one video interviews with the cast and producers of the film coming to you very shortly. As well, our friend Alex over at First Showing did attend the panel and was very impressed with what he saw. Taking note of the crowd in attendance, Alex observed “Although it wasn’t necessarily a full house in Ballroom 20 on Sunday, the crowds were energetic and loud enough to earn the trailer a second viewing – a rare feat at Comic-Con.”
He has also come up with some leaked footage from the panel, which includes the never before seen teaser trailer. You can see it below, and I am sure you will agree that despite the bootleg quality, this one looks good.
As well, the folks over at IGN have debuted the teaser poster that was unveiled at the panel. That can be seen below:

Friday the 13th will hit theaters on February 13, 2009. Stay tuned, as we will have a few very cool interviews with stars Derek Mears, Amanda Righetti and producers Andrew Form and Brad Fuller very soon.

Stay tuned all this week as we bring you coverage from Comic-Con International. Not only will we be roaming the floor in search of love, but we will have the latest news Live from Hall H, great interviews with some of Hollywood’s hottest stars and random convention shenanigans, courtesy of our Comic-Con Attack Squad!
