Our good friend and Reject Radio guest extraordinaire Quint from AICN has somehow snuck into the San Diego Convention Center this evening and taken a few pictures of the displays that are currently being built — the displays that will be seen by over 100,000 people over the course of the next few days.

Above you will see a picture of one of the Power Suits from James Cameron’s Avatar, which has quickly become the crown jewel of the Con. He also has some awesome pictures of Halo action figures and other random exclusives — including a Lego Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story — but you’ll have to click over to AICN for those.

Finally, he’s put together a list of movie screenings that will be taking place during the Con, including the rumored (and still quite secretive) screening of Neill Blomkamp’s District 9. Have a look at the list below and fill in your calendar’s accordingly.

  • District 9 (7pm, Location unknown)

  • Trick R Treat (9:30pm, Ballroom 20)

Any word on whether or not there's going to be news on Spider-man 4 at Comic-Con?

Wouldn't it be great if this whole time JC has been working on a "Halo" movie, and this is just one of the UNSCs many vehicles!! From what I have heard of Avatar, much of the plot is already in some way a piece of the Halo canon. Just add Master Chief and call the bad guys "the Covenant", and it seems to be the same story.
