Anvil will rock you.

While the rest of the blogosphere is buzzing about Star Trek this weekend, good boys and girls will want to spend some quality time with their mothers on Mother’s Day this Sunday. And what better way to spend some time with Mom than rocking it out with Canadian hair metal band Anvil?

This Sunday at the Landmark Gateway theater in Columbus, Ohio, just across the street from the Ohio State University campus, Anvil will be appearing LIVE to rock the house after a special screening of their documentary Anvil!: The Story of Anvil.

Mom will love this movie, which has been reviewed a couple times on FSR here and here.

Here’s the info on the show:

What: Short set by Anvil following Anvil!: The Story of Anvil
Where: Landmark Gateway, 1550 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio
When: Sunday, May 10, 7:00 p.m. showing

You can purchase tickets to the show here.

But wait! There’s more! If you want to get in for free, you can help out the crew by being a behind-the-scenes cameraman. The promotions company needs flip-phone videographers to document the screening and concert set, which will be posted on the movie’s web site. Visit the Craigslist.com for more information.

And finally, here’s the trailer for the film, just to get your mother interested in reliving her crazy Canadian hair metal rocker days:
