so i had a great idea to go along with the discovery channel angle for the sequel. sort of like the viral marketing that they did for this movie they could release random bits of footage taken out of context, like some random historian saying, "it was a mutated lion" when she is really saying "many people theorized that it was a mutated lion." just to screw with us.

Marlina exploded.

the bites raise the person's blood pressure till they eventually explode which is why they needed to get her out of the room so quickly.

I would love to see the sequal to this movie to be like a regular movie. where we know all the info..

Or a much better idea is to have many years in the future, like a discovery channel documentary made on the 'cloverfield incident'
and have that come out into theaters.

that would be really cool cus those things are full of facts and theories people could be making.
this would obviously be in the cloverfield world though.

hmm just a thought.

Two survivors? We know one survivor was Rob because he spoke after the credits. The other survivor was Lily. Remember she flew off in a choper by herself because there wasnt room for Rob, Beth and Hud? My question is what the hell happened to Marlena? It seemed like she exploded or something from the bug bites on her back. Any ideas?
