Choose Your Surrogates: New Music Video and Photos

surrogates-3

Touchstone Pictures is on the warpath this week, promoting their upcoming sci-fi adventure Surrogates with a vengeance. The Bruce Willis-led action film is set in a world where people do not leave their homes, but use highly complicated computer interfaces to control robots made to look like their ideal selves. It takes the concept of James Cameron’s Avatar, removes the silly Dances with Wolves storyline and applies it to a world that looks like our own.

Alright, that’s not actually true. Surrogates is based on a popular comic by Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele. Director Jonathon Mostow (Terminator 3) is bringing it to life through the eyes of a cop (Willis) who is forced to leave his home for the first time in years in order to investigate the murders of others’ surrogates.

In anticipation of the film’s fall release, Touchstone has released several new photos today as well as a music video from the soundtrack, Breaking Benjamin’s “I Will Not Bow.” You can see both by clicking around below.

Surrogates is in theaters September 25, 2009.

Rosamund Pike is one beautiful lady. The music is generic, sadly. I will probably see this film because I like Willis and Mitchell.
  • Dances with Wolves was not silly.

Rosamund Pike is hot as hell. I'll take 2.

I have to agree, I like Bruce willis a lot and this seems to be a decent movie with a slightly new take.

Glad to see Pike and Mitchell as well, them plus the Venditti source material is all around good news. I think a lot of people claim that some films of this genre can lack depth, but I think this will be a really thought provoking/relevant film given the graphic novel that inspired it.
  • It doesn't even matter what the movie is about. Bruce Willis is one of those guys that I would follow blindly off a cliff (along with Clive Owen and Brad Pitt).
