Comic-Con Crowds to Choose Who The Hulk Will Fight Next

Coming off a weekend of positive buzz and strong reviews, The Incredible Hulk director, Louis Leterrier has told the MTV Movies Blog that if he gets to helm the sequel, he’ll leave it up to the fans to decide who the green menace faces in the next installment.
If you’ve already caught Edward Norton as Bruce Banner then you know a slew of possible plotlines was set up for the inevitable follow-up. If you haven’t, watch out for falling spoilers, but characters arcs for Doc Samson, The Leader, and Abomination were started (and some almost finished) and loom over the horizon for Hulk to deal with in the future.
“I think that if we get to ‘Hulk 2′ I would go to Comic-Con and ask the crowd of people that actually love the movies, which one would you prefer to see, Samson or the Leader?” Leterrier said.
The director curiously leaves out the logistics for an actual voting method, but I imagine he’ll use an applause-o-meter or turn to the fine folks at Diebold for one of their rigged systems.
Since we like to get the conversation started early here at FSR, and since we’re bored with the presidential election already, we’d rather hear who you want to see The Hulk go head to head with. My vote is for Mr. Fantastic. I can’t stand that smug bastard.
Also, it occurs to me now that combining Hulk Vote 2008 and the upcoming Presidential election would add some spice to the bland gumbo of D.C. political life. If whoever wins the Presidency had to fight The Hulk, would it change your vote? Does the price of gas or a foreign war matter when your vote would be sending a politician to face the most powerful Superhero on the planet? Would you pay to see Barack Obama or John McCain or both wrestle Bruce Banner when he’s angry?
I say, Yes, to all of the above. Even if it’s not a yes or no question.
