Empire has released a first look photo of actress Chloe Moretz in a school girl uniform for Matthew Vaughn’s upcoming costumed hero movie Kick-Ass, but its not exactly what you’d think. First of all, Moretz is 12 years old. Secondly, that’s creepy, stop it.

In the film Moretz plays Mindy, a pre-teen assassin who’s been trained by her father, Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) since the age of four. As the director explains, she’s “Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman rolled into one. She’s an 11 year-old and she’s the ultimate assassin. She kills, I think, 20 people in a minute.” Sound fun if you ask me.

Kick-Ass is currently wrapping production and will hit theaters later in 2009. You can check out more about the film in the upcoming issue of Empire magazine.

  • This sounds really gritty, can't wait. Using a twelve year old works on so many levels.
  • My youngest is 29 I know he'll want to see this.
  • What is the matter with all you people. We're pushing 11 year olds with guns! This is funny, smart, hot, gritty or anything else - it is disgusting. I sure don't want to see this, nor would I want my kids to see it and I like guns. It isn't cool on any level. It's just a desperate attempt to get people talking about the movie.
  • I think I can speak for all the other film affecianados in saying that putting a 12 year old with a gun in a movie is NOT going to make me go and see the movie.
  • plus it's not a new concept, Natalie Portman did it in the Professional
