I could probably give you a ten-point list of reasons why you should check out the upcoming suspense thriller Taken, which stars Liam Neeson as a former spy who has to call upon his badass side to rescue his daughter, whose been kidnapped by Eurotrash sex traffickers. Then again, all I really need is a clip from the film. And it just so happens that our friends at Trailer Addict have come upon this clip, called “Good Luck.” Check it out below and prepare to become very excited.

Also, a note to all of you piraters out there who’ve seen this film already (it’s on the web) — I’ve always been of the belief that if you are someone who has no problem seeing a ripped version on the web and you like the film, that you should also go out and see it in a theater. Support the film and the filmmakers. That, and you get to see a badass movie on the bigscreen. That, my friends, is what it’s all about.

Taken is in theaters January 30, 2009.

Wow. I need to see this.
  • Liam Nesson is chilling those kidnappers should be scared!
  • Taken is an awesome action movie with a stellar performance from Neeson. It stretches the boundaries of believability, but it's extremely entertaining nonetheless.

And I second Neil's statement above about supporting the movie when it finally hits theaters. Even the folks who picked the DVD up in Chinatown, watched it, enjoyed it, and maybe even wrote a review on it for FSR should and will see it again on the big screen.

    Liam Nesson = badass Irishmen.
  • So true. He and Daniel Day-Lewis could create a black hole of Irish badassness if they ever happened to be in a movie together.

As for the clip, it is awesome. Though that girl couln't even listen to simple instructions. Come on!
  • more people need to be aware of sex trafficking. It's one of the most shameful hidden secrets in the modern Western world today. The movie looks great.
  • I agree, but this is not the movie destined to do that... it's too much fun. Have you seen the recent movie Trade with Kevin Kline? It's incredibly good, suspenseful, and a much more sobering look at the whole disgusting affair. Which unfortunately means it's destined for obscurity.
  • Trade was quite good and really opened my eyes to the horrors of sex trafficking. I had no idea it was still so abundant in today's world it's a must see for people that are blind to this horrible reality.
  • The movie was to my surprise pretty decent. I think they should have went with a harder rating, and pushed the limits on the movie to be honest. Certain scenes could have been that much more devastating. I never knew there were so many uses for nails. Certain plot elements seemed a little too convenient, but over all Neeson is fun to watch.
  • There's an "Extended Harder Cut" coming out on DVD in the UK on Feb 9th. I'm expecting that to be even more enjoyable.
