Casting: Sweet Lorraine, It’s Tatum O’Neal

For Tatum O’Neal, most famous for winning an Oscar at the ripe old age of 10, things just keep getting sweeter. Sure, she has a role on FX’s great drama (and Reject HQ favorite) Rescue Me. Adding to her indie cred (she just finished shooting The Runaways with Twilight princess Kristen Stewart and all-around princess Dakota Fanning), O’Neal has just landed the title role in an new indie drama called Sweet Lorraine.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, O’Neal will play a former NYC scene-queen that moves to New Jersey. Sounds like a reverse Meadow Soprano to me. Except that, apparently, this “sweet” Lorraine gets all muddled up in some cutthroat New Jersey municipality’s political scene, because her ex-boyfriend runs for mayor. Or something. I don’t know, you had me at Tatum O’Neal. And the word Lorraine. And now I’m hungry for some quiche.
