Carrell and Hathaway ‘Get Smart’

A little birdy (otherwise known as the rest of the internet, specifically Cinematical) told me yesterday afternoon that production had begun on Get Smart, the re-hash of the famed 1960’s TV show. The film will star Steve Carrell as Maxwell Smart, Anne Hathaway as Agent 99, The Rock as Agent 23, Alan Arkin as Chief of Control, Ken Davitian (Borat) and Masi Oka (Hiro from Heroes). It looks like a great cast (I’m a huge Steve Carrell fan), but the only question will be whether a new generation will grasp onto Get Smart, seeing as it is from the 60s. Time will tell, but for now I am digging it.
