Mere hours after we showed you the first official footage from Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming actioner The Expendables, we get yet another news bite worth chewing on.

As you might remember, a Moviehole report in June stated that Bruce Willis was joining the star-studded affair. But since then we’ve seen nothing to confirm, nor deny the rumor. Until now.

In talking with MTV, Willis revealed that not only will he be in The Expendables, but he will share the screen with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. He will play Mr. Church, the man who hires the group known as The Expendables, a highly trained team of deadly mercenaries, and sends them on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator. According to reports, the role was originally offered to Schwarzenegger, who bowed out in favor of a smaller cameo as a retired Lieutenant General of the Expendables.

Willis told MTV that he has not filmed his scene yet, and that he’s “waiting for a call from Sly about when we’re going to try and make that happen.” And make it happen, they shall. In the world of Sly Stallone and his badass movie, I say the more the merrier.

The Expendables is scheduled to hit theaters on April 23, 2010.
