Brolin as Bush; Roll that Beautiful B-Roll Footage

We’ve made quite a lot of noise over the upcoming biopic of George W. Bush, titled simply W., from acclaimed and often controversial director Oliver Stone. Perhaps it is because many of us are questioning the timing and motives behind such a production, coming so late in the final term of America’s 43rd President. As well, after seeing some of the marketing behind the film thus far, including a few sets of outdoor posters and a very intriguing teaser trailer, this film has gone from confusing in its intentions to confusing in its message — we simply don’t yet have a firm grip on what Oliver Stone is trying to say. To say the least, it will be satirical and most likely unfriendly to still-President Bush. Then again, what did you expect.
