Given a choice between a film featuring unattractive people being abused by other unattractive people, and Sandy Bullock being sweetly noblesse oblige to just one unattractive person, which film will America reward with box office? This is a no-brainer — people will see PRECIOUS as if it were a vitamin, THE BLIND SIDE like fortified Cap’n Crunch. It has less to do with race and skin color as it does with class — but the ‘fish out of water’ scale wouldn’t register if bourgeois blacks saved a black kid from the sticks….

I haven't even heard of “Blind Side”? What, did all the parents go to the movies this weekend in spite of “New Moon”? Tune in next week, when we find out if Pattinson can continue to tame that wildcat driving that bus…or if he will be “blind-sided”.

haha....the 70% drop for Twilight is expected :p
It would've been nice if The Blind Side made more than Twilight to claim the top spot for the weekend.

So much for all the records Twilight broke last weekend, this weekend's Twilight boxoffice is $42 million while the Dark Knight's 2nd weekend gross is $75 million. Twilight's 2nd weekends gross is so bad that it couldn't even manage to make it to the top 20 all time 2nd weekends records available at boxofficemojo.

btw....I know it's a little early to ask but do you think the movie Avatar has the potential to beat the opening weekend record of 2009 held currently by Twilight at $142 million.
