Bourne Remembers Everything; O’Reilly Knows Nothing

Our friends at /Film have dug up a review of The Bourne Ultimatum, as written by Bill O’Reilly. O’Reilly points out that Matt Damon and Julia Stiles are progressives, and accuses the film of anti-American propaganda.
From /Film:
“I knew this movie was trouble when I read the reviews. Almost all the critics liked it. The only way American movie critics would like a violent car chase film like this was if it bashed the USA, which, of course, it does,†wrote Reilly.
He seems to take issue with the fact that Bourne’s primary nemesis in the film is the CIA, an organization which O’Reilly credits for protecting Americans from Al Qaeda every day. Forget about the fact that CIA operations throughout the fifties and sixties take second fiddle only to the Treaty of Versailles for helping to create the mess we’ve been dealing with in the Middle East over the past thirty years.
Having seen the film, I can say that it definitely points up the dangers of unchecked political power and bureaucratic authoritarianism. O’Reilly would have you believe that only Hollywood liberals and America hating defeatists would take all of this to heart. By his criteria, every single man who signed the Declaration of Independence and helped draft the Bill of Rights was a pinko, Commie, surrender monkey.
In the end, The Bourne Ultimatum is an excellent film and Bill O’Reilly is still an idiot.
