I'm going to have to disagree with almost everyone who's commented here… I'm a die-hard fan of the original Halloween series and I think Rob Zombie absolutely RUINED it. Sure, RZ's Halloweens are fine if you like pointless, plotless bloodsheds executed by a brawny 10-foot-tall wrestler wannabe. Which a lot of people do, I know. Rob Zombie obviously does not understand what the Halloween series is all about. What he did was turn it into just another mass-murder without any substance, just another Friday the 13th or Saw. Sorry, but Rob Zombie just isn't good enough of a director to remake any John Carpenter movie, let alone Halloween. He should stick to his music.

Hopefully Patrick Lussier will do Halloween justice… though honestly, I'm starting to doubt anyone can at this point. -_- I just wish they would finally do what John Carpenter wanted ever since the end of the second movie and LEAVE IT ALONE before they destroy it further. If that's even possible. As much as I love Halloween, I absolutely hate to see it in this state.

i loved halloween and i loved h2 and every other movie rob zombie has done… i couldnt say the same for you…maybe you should have a littl more respect for someone thats a better director

I'll never understand the Zombie hate....

Saw this last night and enjoyed it even more than the first. I LOVE every movie Rob has done so far. I love his cinematic style.. he has a vision and you could guess he was a director of any of his movies without knowing beforehand. Halloween 1 was a great back story and setup. Halloween 2 is just evil, brutal, and unrelenting. How a horror movie should be. No mercy. I for one, love the liberties he's taking with the story and making it his own and, in my opinion, much more interesting and attention grabbing than the originals. The dream sequences are great and I love the "family" aspect of the movie. There's not an ounce of good in Michael Myers anymore and there shouldn't be.

To me, these films are exactly what slasher movies are supposed to be... violent, brutal, jump scares, campy, exciting and just a whole lot of fun. It's been years since i've seen it but Carpenter's version was a bit of a bore to me.

H2 is the most emotional slasher ever made. Through Zombie we finally can feel the psychology of Michael Myers. Anyone that slams H2 as much as this website has does not get the raw emotion that comes with the film and misses out.

H2 is brutal, honest, horrifying and intensely emotional. It's the first Zombie film that I can give two thumbs up. I don't get why everyone hates it so much.

While I did love the campy B-movie awesomeness that was My Bloody Valentine 3D I think I'd rather have the project be handed to someone that would treat the Halloween franchise with respect.

My Bloody Valentine was just plain ridiculous. A three dimensional Halloween will probably be just another catastrophe.

I liked Zombie's better than Carpenter's by the way. Let the damnation begin. :)
