Behold: Physical Proof that an ‘Avatar’ Trailer is Coming
In Production By Neil Miller on November 17, 2008 | (6) Comments![]()
For the longest time I have been very skeptical about this project from director James Cameron, this ridiculously out there sci-fi epic known as Avatar. And by skeptical, I mean that there has been so much said about the film with very little physical evidence that I was beginning to wonder if it even existed, or if it was just something that we in the media were making up in our minds. As it turns out, the film does exist and trailer is likely to be headed to our local cineplexes sometime this winter. As MarketSaw reports, actual 35mm canisters containing a 2:57 trailer have been spotted (and subsequently photographed, see above) in the offices of 20th Century Fox. The most likely path for these trailer would be to run in front of Fox’s 2008 sci-fi epic remake The Day the Earth Stood Still, which hits theaters on December 12th.
Of course there has been no official word from the studio — we will let you know if that changes.
