Tony Stark looks angry. He also, for some inexplicable reason, appears to be drawn. As in, drawn by someone with a graphics tablet and a popular imaging software known as Photoshop. Courtesy of Empire, we have yet another new poster for Iron Man 2, a movie slated for release on May 7, 2010. It brings to order the curious onslaught of marketing materials seen lately online, almost as if Paramount is trying to take away a bit of the thunder of Fox’s Avatar. Though one could also cite that it’s just that time in the promotional cycle. Around this time in 2007, we were seeing images, posters and eventually a first trailer for Iron Man. In fact, the first film’s trailer hit in September of ’07, with much of the promotional weight being pushed around the Superbowl at the end of January. It leads me to believe that there’s a trailer on the horizon, with another sometime in late-January, early-February. This is of course, just speculation.

The full international poster is below. Iron Man 2 is in theaters on April 30, 2010 in the UK and May 7, 2010 in the United States. The Jon Favreau directed sequel stars Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Mickey Rourke, Scarlett Johansson and Sam Rockwell.
