Beastly

It’s really great to see Deadpool still getting work after what a disaster X-Men Origins: Wolverine was, and you can see him in this trailer for Beastly – a modern re-telling of the Beauty and the Beast story.

Their first mistake: no singing tea pots.

But, by all means, be the judge for yourself:

Peter Hall over at Horror Squad sent this to me, and I don’t know why. I imagine it has something to do with that untoward comment I made toward his cats or because his computer caught that email virus that’s been going around.

But I’m glad I saw it, because I’d almost forgotten how terrible some movies directed at young people are today. Forget cursing and pre-pubescent violence – this is the real enemy. Why isn’t Ebert writing about this?

This is killing our children.

Casting my bitterness aside, I really hope Deadpool finds love.

Man, Mary Kate Olsen is a bitch, huh?
