Christian Bale Will Take On The Terminator

In a wholly unexpected and completely awesome turn of events, McG’s upcoming Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins has dropped a bomb of atomic proportions on us – Christian Bale cast as John Connor. The news comes from AICN and one of their trusted sources who is said to shoot 100% from the free-throw line.
Now if you would have told me Terminator 4 would star Christian Bale, I probably would have slapped you, but if this is true I’ve got nothing but immense hope for this next installment. First, it’s going to be a cool premise. It takes place in the apocalyptic future where John Connor leads the resistance of man against the machine empire. Remember those cool scenes in all the other Terminator films, with exoskeletons armed to the metal teeth rampage against huddled masses of humans and hide behind giant gun platforms? Yes. The whole movie will presumably be like this. And now Christian Bale is going to play John Connor.
We have something to truly give thanks for.
