Superman and Batman Cut From JLA?

In a synopsis for the forthcoming Justice League movie sent to Blockbuster by a casting agent (so you know it’s reliable!) the plot line seems to leave out the two crucial heroes.
SPOILERS ahoy!
The synopsis claims that the film focuses on “Green Lantern, Green Arrow and others of the Justice League of America” - who we can only assume are Green Wonder Woman, Green Flash and Green Black Canary - as they deal with Superman’s death at the hands of Doomsday and the “expulsion” of the Dark Knight from the league.
Some are taking this as the characters being axed, but it doesn’t sound like they’re down for the count. There’s no mention of when Superman’s death takes place (or whether he’s actually faked it and started going by Jordan Elliot) and just because Batman gets expunged doesn’t mean he won’t play a primary role. Plus, how do explain Doomsday’s origins or Superman’s death without featuring it in the film itself? There’s just too much information there to gloss over with exposition.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed, because this movie is going to suffer greatly without these two icons.

JLA without two of the founding members? Smells like vomit.
