Many of you may have heard of Judd Apatow, and his films (The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up). What you may not have heard, is that he has another star-studded comedy on the way, Year One. Year one will be directed by Harold Ramis. Ramis’ resume isn’t exactly dry, as he has written and directed some of the greatest comedies of the 80’s and 90’s. Match made in heaven? You are getting hotter…

Apatow and Ramis will team up for Year One and though this project is somewhat little known as of the moment, we do know that it is a comedy set in biblical times much like Monty Python’s Life of Brian. The film will star Jack Black, Oliver Platt, David Cross, Vinnie Jones, Juno Temple and Michael Cera. Apatow, somewhat famous for working with a core group of actors, will obviously be including Superbad’s Cera, but also McLovin himself.

Our friends over at FirstShowing reported that Christopher Mintz-Plasse, most famous for his role as Fogell/McLovin, will also be starring in year one. Don’t get too excited just yet, as the film is scheduled for 2009 release.

Sure, why not? He was one of the funniest parts of the movie anyhow so he might as well go his own route.
