Animated Fun: Two Awesome Clips from Pixar’s Up
Movie News By Neil Miller on March 30, 2009 | (4) Comments
I’ve spent most of the morning getting caught up on some of the video content that we missed over the past few days — thanks to our not so awesome server issues — and wouldn’t you know that I came across a few sweet clips from Pixar’s next, Up. Directed by Pete Docter, the guy behind Monsters Inc., Up tells the story of Carl Fredricksen, a 78-year old man who is just trying to get away from it all. But when he finally ties thousands of balloons to his house and floats away, he discovers that his trip will include a plus one: an 8-year old wilderness explorer named Russell. It is a premise that lends itself to plenty of curmudgeony old man vs. spry kid jokes — and who doesn’t love a little bit of that. Also, as you will see from the first clip below, the film involves a large bird.
Up hits theaters on May 29, 2009 here in the U.S. and will make its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 13th. Check out the two clips below and don’t forget to leave your thoughts in the comment area at the bottom of the page. The first clip is courtesy of Yahoo, the second is courtesy of Trailer Addict.
