While Hannah Montana made over $34 million this weekend, it took a hell of a lot of screens to do it. While Anvil! The Story of Anvil only made $34,800 – it only took three screens. Not only that, but Anvil’s per screen average of $11,600 was better than any other new release this week.

Now, the movie is announcing more openings and a list of tour dates for The Anvil Experience – a double-feature of the movie and a performance by the band.

Cross your fingers and hope your city’s on the list, friends:

  • Wow! Being a star like them really make BIG money.
  • I know KC is not the biggest city, but we're a pretty big movie town. Sure would love to see "Anvil!: The Story of Anvil" come here....

I know that Malaysia isn't the biggest country like, ever, but it would be nice if this movie actually made it to our DVD stores. I don't want to have to resort to piracy 'cos I would actually like my money to end up in their pockets.. oh the horror and the misery...
