Goosebumps the movie

It would appear that Columbia Pictures pays attention to their daily Film School Reject feed. Last month we wrote a story about LiLo’s sister being in a film adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Mostly Ghostly. At the time, we called for a Goosebumps movie, since that is the more popular and established series. Well, according to Yahoo! News, FSR’s public wish for a Goosebumps movie has been granted.

The Scholastic series will be hitting the big screen with the help of spokesperson Deborah Forte and uber-producer Neal Moritz (Fast and the Furious, I Am Legend) for Columbia Pictures. According to Yahoo!, work on the film will begin right away, though a writer and director have not been chosen. It’s also not been announced whether or not they will adapt a previous Goosebumps story or create a new one.

Here’s hoping Young Josh Radde’s heart can be mended from the shattering blow it received upon first glance of the “Goosebumps” TV series. Another such blow could be fatal.
