Hm. While I'm not entirely sure yet another version of “A Christmas Carol” is needed, the fact stands that it's a classic story. It looks to me, however, that it's been needlessly updated to appeal to audiences that demand flash above plot. And the other thing that bothers me is that the characters in Bob Zemeckis CGI movies always look creepy.

I am a big fan of Zemeckis, especially his early stuff, like USED CARS and I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND, not so much of FORREST GUMP.

It looks decent. And is it me, or when Marley's Ghost delivers his, “You will be haunted by 3 spirits.” line, he looks like some sort of video game character. Very poorly animated. And it's not like I paused it and studied it, the poor quality kind of lept out at me.

I gotta agree bringing up Back to the future is lame. The Style looks alot like The Polar Express, there's this awkwardness to its characters but the effects look good. Oh and I LOVE the poster!

“If you loved Alien, you’ll love Matchstick Men!”………or maybe the fact it also mentions he did forest gump and polar express tells you something else? perhaps he has 30 years of seat filling films behind him and *that* is why these films get a mention to begin with!

you are aware that this is why any trailer for any film does this? not to compare, but to enlighten the trailer watcher that the makers of a film have a track record, and this may or may not entice you to see the new film.
