Basterds, basterds, everywhere I turn. Who could have known that around the time that Quentin Tarantino‘s latest film was gearing up for its debut at Cannes that we would also get creamed with marketing materials? And like anyone who is excited about this movie, I’m ready to gleefully shill these materials here on my little soapbox.

Our friends at The Playlist have received 9 new photos from the film, which can be seen below. This new gallery gives us first looks at Christoph Waltz (seen in the first image below as Col. Hans Landa), Daniel Bruhl and Michael Fassbender. We also get additional looks at Til Schweiger and Melanie Laurent.

Inglourious Basterds will be debuting at Cannes later this week and will hit theaters in the U.S. on August 21, 2009.
