8th Annual Golden Trailer Award Winners Announced!

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on June 1, 2007

goldentrailers.jpgIf you are like me, then you still remember what it felt like to experience the full trailer for Zach Snyder’s 300 for the first time. The pulse pounding effects of Nine Inch Nails in the background, the slow and steady build up to Gerard Butler’s epic line: “Madness? This is SPARTA!” It was a surreal experience that fueled months of anticipation leading up to the film’s huge release in early March. It is just one of many examples of how a trailer can light a fire inside you and have you lining up outside your local cineplex hours, days and even weeks in advance.

Last night the 8th Annual Golden Trailer Awards were handed out in a ceremony held at the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in New York; and 300 was among the winners. Take a look below to see the complete list of winning trailers.
