2009 People’s Choice Nominees Celebrate Mediocrity, Web Celebs
Movie News By Neil Miller on November 10, 2009 | (7) Comments
Who needs critics? Who needs experts? Since the dawn of the internet and the democratization of entertainment, who really needs someone to tell them what is good and what is not good? Clearly, the people who made up the list of nominees below — the 18 million voters of the People’s Choice Awards — need some assistance.
It is sad — void of great drama such as Mad Men and full of teenie-bopper schlock like Twilight — but also triumphant, as it makes me feel great about my own job security. Thank you America, for once again proving that you need me.
