Slumdog Millionaire was amazing, the story went so far beyond a man accused of cheating on a game show. The portrayal of Jamal's life from being a poor child left as an orphan to the tragedy of his brother Salim, to the love story between Jamal and Latika should be moving to anyone. I would have to call it the best film I saw all year, hands down amazing.

I'm so happy for Slumdog Millionnaire! While it may have won based on political correctness it was a great movie nevertheless and it had the most positive undertone out of the other nominees. Maybe that's why it was voted such.

I'm a fan of Kate Winslet's, but I felt that Kristin Scott Thomas should have won Best Actress, or at least I've Loved You So Long win Best Foreign Film. It was one of the few films that floored me upon watching. I hope it'll do better in the Oscars.

Surprise surprise, Colin Farrell won Best Actor-Comedy! I had to check the name twice (lol) not because I doubted his acting abilities, but he was such a huge whiney baby in the movie. Methinks Brendan Gleeson deserved it more. (The scene where he literally split open on the ground...whoa) But Farrell was still good.

Congrats to all the winners!

Remember who everyone thanked..... Hollywood Foreign Press. Every year people say WTF because it's a movie they never heard of or saw. I am surprised at how the Brit's took everything.

I love Kate Winslet but was pulling for Meryl Streep. And I knew Mickey Rourke would get it. Sean has won before and can be a stick in the mud. With Mickey getting buzz signing on to top projects. He will be a dark horse for the SAG's and Oscars.

I have some friends who are old SAG voters and was surprised at Slumdog pulling 4 awards. They felt Button was cheated.

I was so happy for Tina Fey. A lot of people blame her for their lost (republicans) of the election. And she received some not so friendly email. Funny how some of us view our nations standing to our citizens, allies and the world.

We all knew Slumdog will win. I'm so happy for Kate Winslet and WTF with all of the teeny boppers at the Golden Globes? With the exception of cutie Hayden P. who was doing all the work (you dumb pre-madona HSM freak!). And the suprise for the night was Mickey Rouke won an award also calling Robert Downey Jr on stage to do the speech? Is there a hint that Robert and Mickey are on for Iron Man 2? Nah just a coincedence. Congrats to Heath (looking up the ceiling), you deserved it.

I agree that films should win on merit, though I would disagree that Slumdog Millionaire is the best film of the year. It was good and entertaining, but I didn't think it was either all that special or all that new, other than its setting.
