Today marks an historic occasion! There are officially as many pictures from the film Avatar as there are pictures of James Cameron sitting around directing the film Avatar! Put on your party hats, people.

And check these out:

NewAvatar1

NewAvatar2

NewAvatar3

[Click on them to make them bigger and head over to Spoiler TV for better res version]

So the last one is pretty clinical, but the first two actually look great. Probably the best two stills from the film I’ve seen so far (other than that riveting one where Cameron is eating a bagel and snagging an Odwalla at the craft services table).

What say you, internet people?

  • Kangaroo Be Stoned
The first image looks great. The female Na’vi is sort of attractive.
  • Zzzzzzzz...huh, what? Oh yeah, for a real look at how "great" this movie is going to be, see the whole character line up, and all the pitfalls of the film, truck on over to any recently-stocked Target store, and check out the Avatar toys. The likenesses are SO BAD...the toys are so poorly made...and the plot synopsis reads like a cheap pulp novel from the 60's. Sorry, Cameron, you got too big a head after Titanic, and this will FAIL. Sorry!
  • Judging the quality of a motion picture based not on the actual film (which the opinionated has yet to see), but on the quality of the action figures released to promote the film to children.

Way to go, Internet. Way to go.
