The folks at Paramount Pictures just won’t give up on this new Star Trek movie — it is as if they want this thing to make hundreds of millions of dollars or something. Today they filled my inbox with a series of updates about the film, including the new photos below. Well to be fair, the first 10 photos below (including the one above) were a regular release and the final 5 were pulled from some updated dossier images from the official site.

As well, there are also some neat little Trek goodies for your computer desktop over at the Icon Factory. This includes some really cool icons for your desktop of whatever else you need icons for. Check those out below and give the image a click to see what else Icon Factory has going on:

And now, 15 new photos from the film. Star Trek hits theaters on May 8th. If you would like more info on the film, you can ready reviews from myself and Cole Abaius from the world premiere here in Austin, TX. I would also urge you to check out the most recent trailer for the film, which is awesome.

Why does the robo-cop (in the trailer) have the hoverbike, yet James Tiberius Kirk have the old school wheel version?
  • Kirk has an affinity for antiques. You see him as a child joyriding in a classic Corvette. In Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan, in his apartment, yo'll see an array of ancient firearms and other objects.
  • Not to mention reading glasses that are over 300 years old.

Interesting point however, in the original series episode "a piece of the action" Kirk had no idea how to drive a car.
