Variety is helping to perpetuate the myth that Inglorious Bastards, a film we’ve been anticipating since World War One even though it’s about World War Two, will actually get made one of these days. Soon in fact.

The production is already set to being shooting this fall in exotic Germany, and Brad Pitt might soon be inking a deal to play Aldo Raine. But, as everything involving the production, nothing is set for sure yet.

Universal would be joining evil forces with The Weinstein Company, meaning it might end up going straight to video. It probably won’t, but, you know, the possibility is still there. If it ever gets made, that is.

The deal should be on the horizon, and as soon as the ink dries, we’ll let you Rejects know.
