Everyone has their opinions about Kevin Smith but I love his movies. He creates fun and interesting stories without bells and whistles.
I found Zack & Miri to be very funny and charming in a wierd way. One of the better comedies for 2008.

Another tiresome, redundant use of male frontal nudity. The double standard against
men continues. I hope that young men will soon realize that they are being had and
refuse to see shows that do not include an equal amount of female frontal nudity. It is
about respect and equality.

I know this article is a few days old, so no one will probably read this, but I avoided your review like the plague. Mostly because I didn’t want any expectations other than my own already high ones going into it. I got the chance to see this at the Calgary Film Fest last night, and I really enjoyed it.

As you mentioned, I think my only complaint was there was a bunch of dialogue I missed because everyone was laughing too hard, and I’m sure a lot of those lines were just as hilarious as the set up or whatever.

I will definitely see this again in theaters, but I’ll probably wait until its towards the end of the run so that I can catch everything.
