Well, I never claimed to *not* be chubby or fat. I do host a show called "Fat Guys at the Movies," after all. ;-)

For more on the "chubby" comment, I'll explain in a separate post.

I want to take a moment to explain the "chubby" comment about Katherine Heigl. I was not saying she is chubby now. She was, in fact, "chubby" by Hollywood standards when she started GREY'S ANATOMY. She has been the topic of numerous weight-loss articles in the tabloid rags, as well as the example pointed out in several celebrity diets. If you don't believe me, do a Google search.

She was also required by the producers of KNOCKED UP to lose 10-20 pounds before she started to work on that film. Obviously someone thought she was chubby.

Is she chubby now? Not at all. In fact, she's lost too much weight and, like Megan Fox, doesn't look as good. I personally like a little more weight than Hollywood and the tabloids prefer.

So, was it politically incorrect for me to point out that she made it big as an ever-so-slightly overweight actress on a show that is known for and often praised for casting actresses who do not fit the traditional Hollywood body type? Abosolutely. Was I wrong in pointing out that at least at the beginning of her career resurgence that some people in the Hollywood system considered her chubby? Not at all.

Kevin "Fat Guy" Carr out!

It wasn't a political dig. Where's the politics in my statement? I was pointing out that every movie MM makes is about himself and not about the issues. He's such a raging eogist that he can't just make a movie and make a point. He has to hold himself out as a genius and a hero. (And it was hypocritical of him to bash the system which he invests in and profits from. His stock portofolio has been documented, and he invests in all these companies he bashes in the film.)

Well, I wasn't reviewing CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY. I was commenting on Moore's performance in the film, which was a huge distraction in the movie. He inserts himself into all his films, and that works with movies like ROGER & ME but it took away from the points he was trying to make in CAPITALISM. Plus, the dude has invested in everything from Pfeizer to WorldCom, then bashes the "greedy" system. That's why I put him on the list. His ego is so huge, he fails to see his own hypocrisy.

Whoa, disagree. The highlight of The Ugly Truth was definitely Gerard Butler. I have never thought twice about Heigl when she's in a movie.
