We Have to Get the Turbo Man Doll. The Daily Diversion.

Posted by Neil Miller (neil@filmschoolrejects.com) on November 28, 2008

Headed out there to do some shopping on Black Friday? If you are, remember that people are crazy — and that one this day above all others, the craziest of the bunch come out to play and contribute to our consumer-driven society. I say this from experience, I worked in the retail industry for almost a decade. And as a result, I will be spending the entire day in my underwear playing XBOX. But for those of you going out into the wild aisles of the big box retailers searching for the almightiest of deals, let today’s Daily Diversion serve as a reminder of what is to come. In Jingle All the Way, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad engage in a race against time to bring home the Turbo Man doll — a classic modern-day story about two fathers and the children they seek to spoil.

Happy Black Friday, you brave people — I wish you well from the confines of my Spider-Man underoos.

Have a video suggestion for The Daily Diversion? Of course you do. Just send that junk via electronic mail to editors@filmschoolrejects.com.

Jingle All The Way is my favorite arnold movie.

SInbad: " that was a real bomb? this is a sick world were living in with sick people in it"

I remember a skit on Conan where they mocked Arnold and said they were looking into an alternative energy source fueled by "Jingle All the Way" DVDs. The machine would run at "100 smiles an hour!" Arnold is so fun to rip on.
  • random man lives
If this man can run a large part of the US, the end of the world can't be far away.
  • I think this movie is on Blu-Ray now. I was bummed when I got the DVD version and it wasn't even in 5.1 surround sound, although I think it's been re-released to have included that on DVD atleast.
