I always think of Christian Troy from NIp/Tuck. That guy is bone fide, yet he always gets whatever/whoever he wants. His character, who puts house to shame, is the epitome of this article and it would be a shame not to mention him.

For me, my fave TV asshole (besides House, naturally :P) is Gossip Girl's Chuck Bass. I mean, how can you not love the raspy, dark and brooding Chuck Bass? Okay, so it's a show targeted for teens, but he is a charming, roguish badass with a heart for all ages. (Or is it too cliche? Hmmm….)

As for the movies, no one has been a better badass than James Bond. He can be a pretty cold bastard at times.
