How do you figure JCVD was Belgian? It might of been shot there, but the director and the entire film were in French. It's a French movie. Not a Belgian one. It wasn't even a Belgian studio...

Now I know I may sound biased, but my favourite foreign films all seem to come from either the UK or France. :P
On another note, I've been hankering to find excellent foreign films to watch, and thanks so so much for compiling all these great movies in one list! ^^ What I regret most is that none of these movies will be ever be found, either on DVD or in theatres in my country. :(

What about After the Wedding? That was a lovely movie, and it felt so real yet so artistic.

I think it was a joke about how the film was shot in so many locations.

I actually wasn't that thrilled with Timecrimes. Interesting premise, but it was filled with problems like predictability, bad acting, stupidity, and a pretty big time travel plot hole. My review is elsewhere on this site.

I really disagree. After seeing his interview on Johnathan Ross, I was blown away by him. He gave such a beautiful speech. And he was brilliant in In Bruges. Also where is the fall from you just put Earth next to it.
