But i still feel like Miyazaki movies are the animated equivalent of oscar bait. Not one of them has a good story to tell, just a lot of pretty pictures squiggling around. I mean even I liked Ponyo but separate the story from the amazing animation and it can in no way stand on it's own. I mean, compare that to UP or really anything by Pixar (except Cars). Also, Departed was a great movie, but the simple fact that most people saw departed and not the original chinese movie (Mou Gan Dou) it does not matter the american remake is better. I also think that Inception deserves a place on the list.
