The only reason I like the cloverfield monster is because it has little spazzed out spider/crab things that make you blow? up when they bite you.

Good list. But like you say, Godzilla is probably my top favorite. And though not as classic as your examples, I liked the creature from “the Relic”. As a fellow werewolf fan, did you not enjoy the animated canines in “American Werewolf in Paris”? I know animation is sort of lame for monster movies, but those wolves were cool as hell. Huge titans that ate the heart out of your chest. Beastly!

I agree with two of your picks Jaws is the scariest movie monster of all time, and the graboids from Tremors are awsome!however the rest of your list was weak with a capital “W”! What about the monsters from The Mist, mainly the Giant one that you see at the end, or alien! I would also have to put Carpenter's The Thing and The Rancor from Return of the Jedi.

(Agree with Jaws, though he did have a name, unofficial as it might be. I always refer to him as Bruce, as it should be.)

I'd have to say Critters was a good one… the “Power Ranger” move when they slip into a ball of death and just roll over people is great. Of course it never hurts to have Eddie Deezen save the day either. Dude is always drunk on Buzz Cola.

But you couldn't make a -1 and insert the main monster/villain from Little Monsters? That thing, while not scary as a child was still pretty creepy. Title of the movie says it all.

Ohhhh… better still, a Clown… a Killer Klown from Outer Space.
