As a child of the '60's, I picked up on HST early in his career. I grabbed on to his shirt tail and went for the wild ride. I'm still collecting anything (notes, letters, etc.) that I may have missed through the years that he wrote or was written about him. I constantly give pocketbook versions of his works to the uninitiated and those individuals always pass them on to others. I miss seeing the world through his writings. My first martini of the evening is always a toast to him.

Hunter S. Thompson only wrote one novel. FYI. It's worth reading, but pick up his nonfiction, essays, letters, etc.

Yes, I know this is a smart ass thing to point out, but I did it anyway. HST would have wanted it that way.

Dude, join the club. Hunter S. Thompson thought more clear on mescaline than most people do sober. Go read "Hells Angels" immediately.
