I can his interview at San Diego Comic Con now, "The effects are so much more advanced than when they made the original in the 80's. It's a greta film, don't get me wrong, but with modern effects technology we can make it better….."

Or a Breakfast Club remake with 20 year olds passing off to be in their teens. But some films would just be funny to see who they would cast, not saying I approve but if someone tried hard enough and and it had a good solid cast, I wouldn't complain. I remember taping this on vhs on some channel when I was younger and now I own it on DVD and any chance I get I try and force people to borrow it. But as for a remake, I really hope not, remaking The Karate Kid is going far enough as to remove the nostalgia from my childhood, next thing i know they will be remaking "Rad" (possibly the awesomest movie ever) and Jeremiah Johnson (my father used to force me to watch this monthly as a child for about nine straight years.)
