The folks over at the Pixar Blog pointed us in the direction of a very cool new book that is now available for pre-order from Amazon. It is called “The Art of UP” and it shows of some of the artwork from Pixar’s 2009 entry. If you are a lover of all things Pixar, as is yours truly, this is probably something worth checking out. So far the look of Up has been breathtaking and from what I hear the 20+ minutes shown at the recent Butt-Numb-a-thon in Austin were received incredibly well.
“The Art of Up” is written by Tim Hauser, who also wrote “The Art of WALL-E” this past year. It includes a foreword by Pete Docter, the film’s director. You may remember Docter as a long time Pixar animator and writer, as well as the director of Monster’s Inc. He has also worked closely on WALL-E, The Incredibles, A Bug’s Life and Toy Story.
